Kusina Smokehouse began the way many great food stories do—at home, with a grill, a curious cook, and a whole lot of love.

For years, Roy perfected the art of smoking meats in their backyard, experimenting with flavors, woods, and techniques until he found the soulful, signature taste that would become the heart of their menu. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion, and soon, friends and family were asking for “Roy’s smoked meats” at every gathering.

 Sherry, his wife and business partner, brought her own magic to the table. With an eye for presentation and a love for creating memorable experiences, she transformed each dish into something beautiful and each event into something personal. Together, they realized they weren’t just serving food—they were crafting moments people would remember. 

 Kusina Smokehouse became their shared dream: a place where they could work side by side, have fun creating menus, and bring joy to every celebration they cater. It’s also a business built with family at its core, giving Sherry the flexibility to care for their young children while still doing what she loves. .
