Provide strategic leadership & vision
- Help define the foundation’s mission, long‑term goals, and strategic direction
- Ensure all programs and initiatives align with the foundation’s purpose of providing monetary support to Filipino‑owned businesses and community members
- Participate in annual and quarterly planning sessions
Uphold Governance & Accountability
- Establish policies, bylaws, and ethical standards for the organization
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations and responsible stewardship of funds
- Review and approve budgets, financial reports, and major organizational decisions
Support Fundraising & Resource Development
- Contribute to fundraising efforts through outreach, networking, and donor engagement, $1,000 commitment annual per member
- Help identify grant opportunities, sponsorships, and partnerships
- Advocate for the foundation’s mission within personal and professional circles
Represent the Foundation in the Community
- Serve as an ambassador for the Buy Filipino Network Foundation
- Promote the foundation’s programs, events, and initiatives
- Strengthen relationships with Filipino‑owned businesses, creatives, and community partners
Participate Actively in Meetings & Committees
- Attend regular quarterly board meetings and special sessions as needed
- Serve on committees or task groups that support key initiatives
- Review materials in advance and contribute thoughtful input
Ensure Financial Oversight & Sustainability
- Monitor the foundation’s financial health and long‑term sustainability
- Approve budgets, financial plans, and major expenditures
- Support responsible growth and transparent financial practices
Champion Equity, Inclusion & Community Empowerment
- Uphold the values of bayanihan, cultural pride, and community uplift
- Ensure programs are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of members
- Advocate for fair and equitable support for Filipino entrepreneurs and families
Contribute Skills, Expertise & Lived Experience
- Bring professional knowledge, community insight, and leadership strengths
- Offer guidance in areas such as finance, business development, nonprofit management, marketing, or community engagement
- Support the foundation’s growth with integrity and collaboration
